How to Stop Evening Snacking In 1 Easy Step
Most people who gain weight don’t overeat at meals. Rather, they snack between meals, and often at night. That’s when the workday is done and it’s time to relax. You can now reward yourself for a hard day of work. Sound familiar?
Stop evening snacking in its tracks by creating a fasting zone. This is a time of day when you’re not going to eat anything. Pick the time that’s problematic for you, such as 8-10 PM. Then do anything you want during that time, except eating. Do it every day.
Aside from losing weight because you broke the snacking habit, you will get things done that you didn’t have time for before. You can find some enjoyable activities that will give you pleasure without guilt. Maybe read a good book, watch a movie, go for a walk, pursue a hobby. You might choose to watch less TV, because TV watching and snacking go together quite well for many people.
This fasting zone habit will be great for your health too! When we eat late at night our digestive system doesn’t have enough time to do all its work, so we go to bed with food in our stomachs, which is a contributing factor to heart disease. Also, our sleep can be disturbed and then we’ll feel tired the next day.
