How Extra Pounds Increase Health Risks
Aside from wanting to look your best and enjoy living in a slim body, there are other reasons for losing those unwanted pounds. There are several health risks that correlate with being overweight or obese.
Right now susceptibility to Covid is one of our main concerns. Risk is higher if you are overweight. Why take the chance?
In addition, there are other health risks that go with being overweight/obese. These include:
- Coronary heart disease
- Type 2 diabetes or insulin resistance
- Cancers (endometrial, breast, colon)
- Hypertension (high blood pressure)
- Stroke
- Liver and gall bladder disease
- Sleep apnea and respiratory problems
- Osteoarthritis
- Gynecological problems (abnormal menses, unexplained infertility)
Everyone knows that it would be good to lessen your risk before it’s too late. But sometimes those blockers get in the way. Our memories, limiting beliefs, and emotions drive us to do what we really don’t want to do. Remember to regularly practice relaxation, breathing, tapping, self-hypnosis. All of these methods help release the blockers so you can make good food and exercise choices.
