Weight Loss Difficulty With Family
Do you do fine when you eat along, but have weight loss difficulty with family? Are they eating all the things you try to avoid? Give this challenge a SUD level: How easy is it for you to lose your resolve when you eat with your family? Then let’s start tapping at the karate chop point.
Even though my meal planning goes out the window when I eat with my family, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
Even though they can eat whatever they want and not gain weight, but I can’t, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
Even though I do fine eating alone, but not with my family, I accept who I am and how I feel.
Top of Head: I do fine with my eating when it’s just me.
Inside the Eye: But it’s so hard to stay on track when I eat with my family.
Outside the Eye: They love to go out for pizza or burgers.
Under the Eye: The lean protein and veggies plan goes out the window.
Under the Nose: They don’t eat out in places that have the foods I need.
Under the Mouth: At home, they don’t like to eat what I want to eat.
Collarbone: It’s too hard to please everyone.
Underarm: This weight loss difficulty.
Top of Head: My will power weakens when I see them eat the things I really want.
Inside the Eye: I like to eat what the rest of my family is eating.
Outside the Eye: All those carbs and sugar really don’t work for me.
Under the Eye: But I don’t want to be by myself.
Under the Nose: I enjoy being with my family and doing what they do.
Under the Mouth: This conflict between their meal plan and mine.
Underarm: I don’t know how to resolve it.
KEEP TAPPING THE SAME THING FOR SEVERAL ROUNDS. WHEN YOUR SUD LEVEL HAS DROPPED AND YOU ARE FEELING BETTER ABOUT THIS CHALLENGE, THEN GO ON TO THE FOLLOWING SEQUENCE.
Top of Head: I’d like to eat with more intent.
Inside the Eye: I need to plan ahead for this to happen.
Outside the Eye: Maybe I can eat partly what they eat and partly foods of my own choosing.
Under the Eye: I would like to do something different now or I won’t succeed.
Under the Nose: I can still be with them, but do my own thing with food.
Under the Mouth: There has to be a balance in the middle for this weight loss difficulty.
Collarbone: Since losing weight is so important to me now, I choose to follow a different plan of action.
Underarm: No matter what, I choose to stick to my resolve but still enjoy my time with family.
