5 Ways To Eat More Healthy Foods
Do you want to eat more healthy foods, but never seem to get around to planning and cooking? If so, here’s a fun way to get more nutrient-dense foods into your body.In Traditional Chinese Medicine, a balanced diet consists of eating foods on a daily basis that include all the different colors. Using this approach, there’s no need to deal with balancing proteins, carbs, and fats or about worrying about getting too many carbs. Just use the color guide and you will automatically eat all different kinds of foods each day, each color being rich in certain nutrients. The amount of healthy foods you eat will naturally increase day by day.
Here are the colors to take in each day…
- White
- Black or brown or dark blue
- Red
- Yellow or orange
- Green
You can eat a small amount of each, or a larger amount. Just be sure to at least get a touch of each color. Spices and herbs can be included.

Black or Brown or Dark Blue: wild rice, black rice, wheat, brown rice, blueberries, blackberries, pinto beans, lentils, black sesame seeds, walnuts, pecans
Red: apples, radish, strawberries, raspberries, goji berries, tomatoes, navy beans, beets
Yellow or Orange: carrots, winter and summer squash, oranges, cantaloupe, turmeric, mung beans, lentils
Green: green leafy veggies, cucumbers, celery, green apples, scallions, broccoli, cabbage, green beans, parsley, cilantro, basil, avocado
Even in a week you should notice a difference in how you feel. Be sure to plan a trip to the grocery store before you start so you have good options on hand.
