Blessings For The New Year

My esteemed spiritual teacher Swami Veda Bharati wrote this in his little book called Blessings. It includes much food for thought.Which of these blessings would you like to see manifest for yourself, and which would you like to shower on those you love?

“May you discover solitude in a crowd.

May you find peace in the midst of a riot.

May you plant the embers of your fire and reap suns.

May your efforts for others always succeed.

May the efforts of others for you always succeed.

When God comes to You disguised, may you recognize him.

May those who grant Grace search for you

–and find you before long.

May your loneliness become a serene solitude.

May saints along intrude into your solitude.

May your pet animal re-incarnate as a human.”
