7 Ways To Have Abundant Energy

Ways To Have Abundant Energy

Who doesn’t want abundant energy? With abundant energy, you can get things done that you really want to do. Without this energy, you will fizzle out after work or after taking care of essential tasks during the day. The other things you want to do keep getting put off over and over. Can you relate to that?

There are things you can do to boost your supply of abundant energy. Here are some.

Exercise Regularly

You might feel too tired to exercise, but exercise gives you energy. The best way to get exercise in is to do it early in the day when you feel the freshest. To succeed, start small. If you don’t exercise at all, start with 10 minutes once or twice a day. Then move on to 20 minutes. Keep going until you reached your desired time. Often 150 minutes of exercise a week is recommended.

Also, choose some form of exercise that you enjoy. It can be something simple like walking. You don’t need to go to a gym or have fancy exercise equipment available at home.

Keep in mind that you will need a plan that includes exercise year-round. So if you choose to walk or play tennis in the warm weather, what will you do during the winter months? Will you be able to walk an indoor track or play on an indoor tennis court? If not, what can you substitute in the winter? Consider YouTube videos, an exercise phone ap, putting on music and dancing, taking classes at a fitness center. Again, figure out something that you feel motivated to do.

Get Enough Sleep

Sleep is so important for all body systems. If you ever missed a good night of sleep (and who hasn’t), you know first- hand that you just feel ‘off’. Often 6-8 hours of sleep a night is recommended. It’s said that every hour you sleep before midnight will add increased feelings of rest. If your sleep is all after midnight, you won’t be as rested as you optimally need to be.

It’s best to experiment and see what works best for you. You can enhance your ability to get to sleep earlier by getting off of electronics at least one hour before going to bed, eat dinner by 7 pm and avoid snacking afterwards, doing something calming before bed, such as reading, listening to music, and breathing-relaxation-or meditation.

Tap On What Tires You

Tapping is a wonderful method to release what blocks you from succeeding. For example, if you are tired during the day because you watch movies late at night, you can tap on your desire to watch these movies. Or, if you’re tired because you never get exercise, then tap on your resistance to exercising.

Learn how to tap if you don’t already know.

Eat Dinner Early

A good rule of thumb is to finish eating 3-4 hours before you go to sleep. It’s also important to get to sleep at a decent hour. Therefore, it’s a good idea to eat dinner as early as you can. Plan to be done eating by 7 or 7:30 pm. Then refrain from eating until breakfast time. That’s how breakfast gets its name – ‘break’  ‘fast’.

You will probably find that you wake up feeling light and fresh if you do this. You’ll be ready to go for your day ahead. If you eat late at night, you will probably feel sluggish, foggy, and tired. It will be hard to muster the energy you need for the day, let alone for anything extra at night.

Avoid Sugar, Wheat,  and Excess Fats

When you eat sugar, your blood sugar level will spike initially, giving you a rush of energy. After a little while, your blood sugar level will drop and you will feel tired. Consciously or unconsciously, you will then reach for food or drink that has sugar. That way you will get another surge of energy.

If you eat fresh fruit, whole grains, some nuts/seeds, and good quality protein foods you will get a balanced flow of energy that will sustain you over several hours.

Wheat often causes inflammation in people and is hard to digest. That is often because wheat grown in the U.S. is hybridized. Because more energy is tied up in digestion, it’s easy to feel tired and sleepy. It’s better to eat some gluten-free bread, whole grains, or other starch foods like sweet potatoes and winter squash.

Good quality fats are essential, but too many of them will strain your digestive capacity and potentially make you sluggish. This is because they are very high in calories. Choose from good oils like olive, coconut, and sesame; avocado; nuts and seeds. Avoid oils that are not cold-pressed and those that have GMOs (like canola oils). Generally speaking, packaged foods do not have good quality oils.

Practice Breathing and Relaxation

Breathing and relaxation are both wonderful methods to calm down quickly. Many people experience better sleep by practicing one or both of them before sleep. You can also practice during the day. Find a few minutes once or twice a day that’s convenient for you to practice.

Learn how to breathe properly.                                                        Learn relaxation.

Spend Time Doing What You Love

Even though we all have many responsibilities and duties, it’s still important to leave some down time for ourselves each day. That might be the time to walk in nature, do some gardening, read a good book, watch your favorite program on TV, pursue a hobby, listen to music, or visit with someone whose company you enjoy.

Start With One

We just went through seven different ideas to boost your store of abundant energy . Which one resonates with you the most, or which one do you feel the greatest need to start on? Choose that and work with it until it is part of your daily habit pattern. Then add another. It’s best not to try to do too much at once, because it generally becomes overwhelming and leads to failure.
