The Challenge

Here’s a hidden weight loss preventor you may never have thought about. If you’ve tried everything to lose weight and really have been eating in moderation, then you need to know this!

It’s so important to have a healthy, balanced gut ecology for overall health and good mental functioning. Once this ecology is off balance, it can be very hard to lose weight no matter what you do.

How To Knock Out The Weight Loss Preventor

The gut is sometimes called the second brain, and what we feed it makes a huge difference in how we feel and function. Things that help maintain or restore a healthy gut include: good diet, probiotics, and exercise. Here are a few pointers for each…

Healthy Diet

Avoid processed foods, fast foods, fried foods, white flour and sugar, excess carbs. Favor lots of veggies and lean protein, 1-2 pieces of fruit a day (more can create blood sugar imbalances), some seeds and nuts, small amounts of whole grains, and a little organic dairy if your system tolerates it well. Healthy fats are also very important for a strong system and for burning body fat and losing weight. They include: olive oil (raw or lightly heated), coconut oil, avocado oil, and avocado. Home cooked meals are the best. Eating out gives usually gives us an excess of unhealthy fats, sugars, and salt, so it’s best to keep it to a minimum.

It’s good to have a mixture of cooked and raw foods. Cooked foods are easier to digest and assimilate. So even if we lose some nutrients in the cooking, our body is generally absorbing more nutrients than it would with all raw food. Raw foods contain live enzymes which are missing in cooked foods. They are essential for good digestion.

Probiotics

Probiotics are essential for a healthy gut. Probiotics are made up of good bacteria which keep your body in good health and help fight off excess bad bacteria. You can take a good quality probiotic, or eat sauerkraut and other fermented veggies, home-made yogurt, organic apple cider vinegar, kombucha, or other properly fermented foods. These good bacteria will go a long way in knocking out the weight loss preventor.

Exercise

Exercise: the body needs it for good functioning of all body systems. Pick a form(s) of exercise that you enjoy and which fit your fitness level and age. You might choose walking, swimming, weight lifting, dancing, gardening, yoga, gym workouts, or anything where your body stays in motion for a period of time.It can be as simple as walking five days a week, 30 minutes a day.

In addition, diet and exercise keep our minds sharper and clearer. Alzheimers is now being called Type 3 Diabetes. For some people, poor diet reflects in the brain rather than in blood sugar levels. ooPr diet first impacts the hippocampus. It shrinks and so does our mental functioning and emotional balance. If kept up, dementia can follow.

What To Expect

Aside from health, all of this impacts our weight. If you are stuck at the same weight, even though you really are not eating an excess of calories and you are exercising, then making changes in your gut ecology should make a huge difference. Once you knock out this weight loss preventor, you will feed so much better too! Since all calories are not created equal, it pays to take in calories from high-quality foods. Your body will like it and will naturally come to its ideal weight.
